How long do you play for in a day?

School days, about 1-3 hours, somenights none cause I'm hanging out with my friends.
Weekends/School breaks, about 3-5 hours a day, ussually in that amount of time I can learn a song or write a song plus its lyrics.

until I get tired or it starts to hurt, some times they happen at the same time, it is like killing 2 birds with 1 stone

Sounds like we're all in the same range. I only have usually 3 hours total after the girls go to bed until I hit it myself so I'd say more like 1-1.5 hours a day if I'm lucky. The weekends aren't much different but I do pick up the guitar for a few minutes at a time during the evening and run through some scales and chords. My baby girl was really rocking out to Back in Black and Highway to Hell the other day when I played a few riffs for her the other day so I can start playing a bit more for her now that she'll be 2. My 6 year old has already adopted my Tele although I'm going to get her a Strat Mini for her birthday in August.

I keep a Squier mini player at the garage where I work. This way I can play fifteen minutes before work, at lunch a quick meal and I can practice thirty to fourty minutes. Back home at night I practice one hour minimum. So I figure that I play from ten to twelve hours per week. And every two weeks I have one on one guitar lesson with a pro. I have not always been this serious about my playing, but since almost one year I can say that I improved significantly to say the least. :)

Seems like we're all in the same range....Thats strange, I'd think some people would play for like, 8 hours straight or something.

usually Ill play up to about 4 hrs everyother day depending on if i'm coming up with anything creative. sometimes ill go a couple of weeks without playing due to my work schedule...but when i pick my strat up it feels as though i never left....and she's very forgiving

I am lucky if I can grab 45 minutes in a day. And I mean "lucky", as often there is no time at all. Back when I was a teenager, I was practicing about three hours a day.

Average of one hour on guitar and one hour on piano daily.

Weekdays I play a minimum of two hours, and on weekends it varies from 2 or 3 hours all the way up to like 6 or so if Im really feelin it. Obviously not 8 hours straight, but I get that much in occasionally.

It fluctuates,I play until the pain gets too intense and some days that can be as little as 5 minutes so I'll go at it several times after resting my hands. On a good day if I could play 3hrs or more I would. When my hands were functioning well I'd spend over 8 hrs sometimes.
