After 9 years of keeping my Tele under a bed I finally dragged it out and learned something on it that wasn't just 5 chords and a riff. Was going to sell the Tele when I got it out - - and then decided to see what it was all about. man, am I glad i did not put it on Ebay!

Thanks for welcoming me here. I live 31 miles away from the factory in Corona. Just found out they have a museum of sorts there - need to go make a visit! Wonder if the give tours of the Custom Shoppe? That La Carbonita looks real sweet. Would love a Tele with a pickup setup like that. I'd send it out to Charlie McVay for a G Bender install. That would give me more of a Rock edge to the bends.

Man, I wish I could play like that. You make it look easy, but I know if I pick up my guitar it will start getting complex in a hurry. :)

Yeee Haaaw lol That was some excellent chicken pickin there Kev. Brent is a monster player and you did the style justice. I do not play country but am a fan of a lot of players. Do you use a thumb pick like Brent or was that all fingers.

Stray - That was a good ol' medium Fender flatpick and the remaining fingers - gotta keep the flatpick ready should I ever decide to throw some Guthrie Govan runs in for variety!

one more question, what scale is used to play this song? Im almost completely unfamiliar with country, but thsi doesnt sound like a blues, pent or standard scale , but more of a varation ( e.g. A maj with a sharpened 5th or something).

Schm - I am not a scale-aware person. But there is a lot of Pentatonic mixed with whatever the Major/Root scale would be. I do not think it is Phrygian or any of the more jazz oriented type of scales.
