It's a really nice store full of vintage(Def: expensive) guitars. They recently opened up another showroom around the corner for amps. Not very friendly staff though. Worth a visit.

I really want to visit NYC just so I can go to this store.- Lite Ash

Pensa-Suhr MK1 is the original Knopfler they built for him, though when Rudy and John parted company, the name changed. There's history on the website regarding Rudy's professional relationship with Mark. I am also given to understand that the guitars are manufactured by a highly reputable boutique guitar builder whose name I shall keep in reserve. If your plans to visit The Big Apple actually do materialize, let Brad know so he can link us. Music row has changed since 1958. All the great vendors I knew are gone and sadly, "Manny's"...the last of the legends. Rudy actually was not there in my 'yute', but he remains the last of the great independents on that street, not far from what used to be known as 'Tin Pan Alley', and the late great jazz joint "The Metropole".

Yep. A '58 Strat with a $30K+ price tag, staring you in the face through the glass, can be daunting, eh mate??
