So it was just that the copper coil reacted to the magnet and probably split like many old fender pickups do. Direct wrapped on the magnets between the flat work! Magnets not sprayed with lacquer first.

Location: The desert of SE Washington
Can't say enough about how good it is to have back. The tone is AMAZING. Was restrung with Infeld strings, they too are amazing, and recommended.
