Does ambidextrous mean both handed?

Yes. I can use either hand when writing etc...
My youngest son is also ambidextrous.

I'm kinda both handed too, but I prefer left handed 8)

I favored my left when I was young but people kept making me use my right hand in everything.

When people say, "you have to use your right hand for this", I say, "I cant", they say, "Why not", I say, "Cause your dumb"

you poor souls.... im so sorry for your lack of a large selection of instruments.... although you could go hendrix and start restringing righty guitars :P ....

im right handed and play right handed..... my left hand isnt worth a damn for writing or playing

I have had no problem finding guitars that I like Left Handed. I have some very nice Left Handed guitars.

I. too, am left-handed and play lefty. While, it's true that the selection of lefty guitars is much more limited than rightly guitars, there are still plenty of good choices out there (especially if you order online).

It's actually a blessing in a way, because I'm sure I've avoided at least one or two impulse purchases because of the lack of lefty guitars in the store!

For me, despite being left handed I play right handed. Why? Cause I wouldn't have a hope in hell of forming a sime ple e minor chord with my right hand.

wasn't sure what you wanted to do with that last bit,
ambidextrous on guitar becomes easier, as with keyboards, with practice, I favor right-handed guitars.

I'm a lefty that plays right handed. My first guitar exposure was other people's instruments. I learned on a righty. By the time I was even aware of such a thing as a left handed guitar I had been playing for quite a while. never seemed worth it to learn the other way.

For me. Why?
with my right hand
forming a simple e minor chord

I'm right handed and play that way--but I have a friend who is also right handed, but he plays guitar lefty.

yeah, not a lefty, playing righty--but a righty playing lefty--the rarest breed of all.

Strum and finger pick with my right hand. I hardly ever use a pick anymore.

Being a righty, I could imagine fretting with my right hand but not picking with my left.
