I finally got around to finishing the work that I needed to do on the 1977 Takamine F-340S my Brother left me when he passed.

It got a Left Handed TUSQ Nut, TUSQ Saddle that is installed Left Handed, and TUSQ Bridge Pins.
I put on a set of Martin Silk & Steel .0115 - .047 Strings. Tuned to Standard Tuning the intonation is right on the money!

I really like these Martin Silk & Steel Strings. If you get a chance check out a set.
I'm not a fan of Bronze Strings for Acoustic Guitars so these strings are cool.

It sounds like you did a nice job Chet and I am sure when you play it your Brother is listening.

Takamine makes a darn fine guitar. With the sentimental value, you'll be keeping that one forever, I'm sure.

I still have my 1980 Takamine which is a killer acoustic and the only one I have left. I have to check what model it is but man is it a great sounding guitar. My friend borrowed it to record his bands CD 7 years ago and it took me 2 years to get it back.lol The funny thing is it still has the Martin silk strings on it, I believe I used to use the blue box and it has been that long since I played it. I know you want to channel some of your brothers mojo and I believe you will be doing a lot of acoustic playing these days. Enjoy Chet.
