I had some of my stuff copyrighted at the Library of Congress back in the eighties. Back then, it was $10.00... And it was still a lot of money to me. I had plans of putting out an EP, but I eventually gave up on it.

Even though I still have the original paperwork, I searched their website to see if they're still there. It took awhile, but I finally found them. According to the listing, they still have the cassette I handed in with the forms.

I think now, you can upload your tune with the on line forms. I was surprised to see that it jumped up to $35.00... I don't know why I was, though. We're talking about the government after all.

The mail thing is called a "Poor Man's Copyright"... Registered mail is better, but I believe you can just send it to yourself and the postmark is your proof. Then once you get it, you leave it sealed. I don't know how that holds up if you have a dispute, though.

"I don't know, maybe I'm just being paranoid about it." Not at all Texas, I think it is very thoughtful and your concern is positive I think that your talent is growing exponentially, for always, your vibe is yours and those that hear you over time will know your music because of your cool vibe just like all of your favorite guitar players and you didn't even know it was happening. I will say to you what my friend said to me, " you thought of all of those idea's and I'm sure you have thousands more in that head of yours" :D

Thanks, it means a lot to me to hear someone say that. :D
