Some folks here are watching concert footage of his in the Machine Room.

I had no idea he was an African American.

Well... he's from South Africa...

My point exactly. "African American" is clearly a label to describe color anyway so who are the PC majority kidding

I think he was born in South Africa, but that does not make him African American.

Even more validates my point. So folks not even born in Africa who are "black" are "African American"? Whats the logic in that?

I guess we could say he is due to country of birth.

What's even more funny... that guy in the center is the ONLY one who was NOT born in America.

Am I wrong here, but wasn't being called "African American" a choice that was made so they would no longer be called "Black" or "Colored"? If it was a personal choice then who are we to question it?

Who cares… I would rather listen to my 2 year old nephew banging on pots and pans as a rhythm section to my lawnmower running then listen to Dave Matthews....

much agreed... i can't stand that guy either. I was just making a point about the PC thing after seeing a bunch of "Sheep" drooling over how "amazing" the Dave Matthews band is and it got me thinking.

Well I have to say African American refers to people of color who originally descended from the continent. South Africa was built on people who came and settled there. Now those who want to take it another place can due so at the Matthews -Jon Mayer twin bill which would be fair punishment.lol
