Well...my main electric is a Strat and my second electric...is also a Strat, as is #3 so it's kind of hard for me to leave my Strats out of the equation. If I had to though, for me with the electrics it would have to be my old Kramer Striker (which granted is almost a Strat knock-off...same body shape, different pickup configuration and neck style) . For acoustics, it would have to be my Seagull S6 followed closely by my Ovation Celebrity.

Peace,
Jim

I absolutely LOVE the Ovation Celebrity that my wife got me for Chritmas a few years ago. Its got the deeper body so sounds crispy but full when not plugged in, gorgeous when plugged in direct into Protools or to an amp, and has a built in chromatic tuner and EQ.

Love it...

Hopefully someday i'll get the Ovation classical.

Martin HD28. If it had to be another electric, I would also go the Firebird route.

1999 Gibson Les Paul Custom... I could probably buy about 8 strats for the price of this guy however...

Also, my 1998 Westerly Guild X-170 archtop... The most underrated underpriced guitar I know of..

I've always loved Ovations...I guess they're just one of those brands that people either love or hate. It's kind of funny though, the year I got my Seagull, my wife had taken me out to finally get me an Ovation because I had wanted one for a long time. There was a local place that at the time was having a massive clearance sale...they weren't actually going out of business but they had rather abruptly lost their lease and the owner didn't want to pay a ton for storage, so a lot of stuff was going for dirt cheap. Almost the moment I walked in the door, this Seagull practically called out to me...it was really one of the most beautiful acoustics I had ever seen and when I played it, it sounded as good as it looked. I did compare her with a couple of Ovations they had but there was just no contest. I talked to a good bud of mine at another music store that also sold Gull's and he said he could order the same model...did a little playing with the math and said he could get one for me for about $550 out the door. Well, the first place only wanted $250 and the guy tossed in a very nice hardshell case for it for an extra $50 so for $300 total, that was the one I came home with that day.

I finally did get my Ovation a few years later...had found her at another local music store. It was only $250 (and new they were going for around $500 at the time) and even though it was technically used, it was virtually flawless...not a ding on her and no fret wear -at all-. I guess a guy had bought her to learn how to play and then returned it 6 months later (at a rather substantial loss). So now my Ovation Celebrity is my "stage" acoustic and my Seagull S-6 is my studio acoustic...a very nice pair up even if I do say so myself :-)

Peace,
Jim

Sticking with Fender--Mustangs.

Non Fender--Les Pauls & older Ibanez Iceman models.
