I bought a mixed box of guitar parts tuners knobs buttons, pots screws and some bridges ect. ect. They where sitting on a table of a place that sells heaps of everything. Looking through it I found a original PRS mil-com trem, not bad for a box of scraps for $22.00
I already have some one who wants it :D

That's what I like about some of these guitar shows and swap meets. If you know what you're looking at you can find some nice parts and stuff for dirt cheap.

I had a parts box once, filled with such gems as the block and bridge assembly for a 65 Strat, tortoise shell pickguard for a 65 Mustang, block and bridge assembly for a 78 l/h Strat and various other goodies. When we moved into this house 16 yrs ago I had it all in a Peavey Decade box and placed it just outside the music room,my wife thought it was junk and jettisoned the lot.My own fault for leaving it in the path of a compulsive neat freak.

Like maybe a couple old bumble bee caps for my LP project!

I found stuff in my parts box, and i think i have to build a hardtail partscaster.

My problem now is what do I let it go for. It is a friend who wants it and he knows how I come by it.

I was intending to contact a music store in KY that specializes in Gretsch stuff to try and establish some kind of value. I also need to check the pickups to make sure they are conducting some current.

The KY store (I forget the name "Black" something, I think) may make me an offer or tell me to pound sand. I will let you know what happens. :)

How about that? In one of my many parts boxes, I have an OEM Bumble Bee cap I removed from a 1956 Gibson LP Junior way back in 1974! As a matter of fact, a 'regular' four pot Les Paul can be wired to work normally with two tone pots using only one cap.

I am such a hick. I should take a few moments and figure out how to post some pics and let the brains here at the FF take a look. :)

I already have caps for it, but I was looking at some of the repro's. The whole thing is a replica anyway, so I'm not too worried about having real old parts.
