hi.

just wondering if anyone knows what effects and settings gilmour or yourselfs use for this.

ive been using, quite alot of distortion, bit of compression, splash of tape delay, and some reverb.

wondering if im missing something obvious. it sounds good. just wanna get some input on how others do it.

thanks alot

I like to sprinkle some Chorus on top. I actually jammed with some people on this song this past weekend. What a fun song to play... we could a jammed on the end solo for hours. Other songs we did were Mother, Time, and Young Lust. Good times.

MmmHmmm!!! Kind of like the outro to 'Hey Jude' or "Atlantis". The songs go on forever. A lot of the writing of Waters, Gilmour and Wright, have that characteristic hook. Mark Knopfler as well.8)

Indeed thanks. I poked around on the tonefromheaven site and used that as a reference to make a few really nice patches on my GT6 that come much much closer to what I was achieving prior.

One of my favorite songs to play. We play it very rarely any more. I usually take the first solo and play it as close to the original as I can. I use a decent amount of distortion and delay with just a touch of chorus. I use the bridge pup on whichever guitar I am playing.

Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands.

The Backing tracks on gilmourish.com are FUN! I just downloaded the backing track for "Time" and set up a patch for that based on his gear list for Dark Side of the Moon. Wow was that fun.
