Post subject: How do you post thread quotes?

I always see people posting others quotes or excerpts from them before posting their own comments.I have very limited computer savy,how is this done?Thanks.

I used the quote button to display your post and for the quote below I manually inserted the quote tags (with the quote button) and copy / pasted text from guitslinger's post. I had to add in his username for the 'quote =' part though... I also clicked on the 'Close Tags' link near the URL button to close the quoted section

I sometimes don't explain things well - please let me know if that doesn't work for you :)
