Doesn't provoking the flaming just get it happening sooner? If you don't want the flames, just let the controversy fade away.

Well I am starting to think there is an underground Mayer cult that needs investigating, and if that is toadays music seen what I saw on Idol with the chick Kesha singing the worst song I have heard in my life . What was it again Blah Blah Blah which sounded like a 3rd grader wrote the lyrics I really feel for the youth of today.

I like to take the least hateful root out of hating today's music. So I look for the modern rappers or bands that I "don't mind". They are Jay-z and some other rappers because they rap about stuff we hate on as well like auto tone and oter things that are ruining the industry. That being said there are some people these days I hate:

Ke$ha..... >:( I hate her!

And as previously stated justin beiber....

That's the music that sucks.

You got that right, I love the BAND, the songs, the show, but the individual members all have too many character flaws to take them seriously. Gene and Paul with their egos, Ace and Peter with their egos....

Yes ... hands down its Bono. I once saw him cut on Phil Collins during a new years show. Phil Collins hosted the program and said "now we're going to go to Dublin Ireland ... " Bono took over and says "thanks Phil, my grandmother loves your music" WHAT AN A-HOLE. I'm sorry but Genesis is FAR more talented than U2 could ever hope to be. IMHO

I tend to find fans more annoying than bands. For example, I have no problems with Slipknot, just the fans of Slipknot.

very true.

I used to like Tori Amos... then i went to a couple shows, after seeing all the goons wearing fairy wings i stopped going.

I'm a huge fan of Phish as well but the a good deal of those fans bother me. At least the braindead dancing ones and the MassHoles i've ran into at various shows.

Those are the know-it-all college hippies that the band tends to attract since those people were too young to follow the Grateful Dead...

Trends suck and unfortunatley the fans sometimes annoy me.
It's almost like; "I like this particulary band, but I am embarrased to be associated with the run-of-the-mill fans associated with them."

I like a very diverse spectrum of music, and you wouldn't know it by looking at me what I am into. Sometimes the association prejudices the band. And some folks can't/won't admit they like something simply because it's uncool.

"Me?... I've never been cool. I don't really care about all that. And if I ever was cool I didn't mean to be."
Just My Humble Uncool Opinion...LOL-N 8)

Dude! I'll burn with you. Nirvana suck and their fans thought they were the second coming. At that time, only 16 year olds and below were listening to their garbage.

Flame ON! Hop... I'll stand in the fire with ya!

not trying to 'bring on the flames', but it was actually a VERY anti-nirvana forum member that flamed a certain thread and completely derailed it from its topic.... also to the guy who said nirvana suck, to each his own. you may hate them, i may like them, we are both entitled to opinions. one final thing to say.... im not one of those 'second coming' fans.... there are a few of their songs that make me want to rip my ears off  ..... see 'clean up before she comes' and, if im not in the right mood, 'big long now' (i would post more but i dont know them off the top of my head).... please, lets not do this foolishness again, dont encourage flaming..... PLEASE

Im kinda starting to dislike the new generation of Dead Heads. I am a huge grateful dead fan, but a few nights ago, I went to a party with a bunch of them, and they told me to stop wearing collars and stuff like that and dress like a hippy. I replied "I didnt know being a hippy meant fitting a stereotype," to which they replied "we are all walking stereotypes!"

Not diggin that
