hi
which 6v6 would be best to get the James Burton sound, Elvis and Hot Band period ? I play a stock Tele thru a Delux reverb

I would go with a matched set of low power Groove Tubes that will break up early while still giving you clarity.

James uses very light strings and also finger picks, which play a huge roll in his sound.

I use very lite strings too, also a thumbpick and two fingerpicks
It's just that I like nice mids with not too much highs
