rschreck97, listened to some of their music on youtube and it's cool, reminded me of early Staind

*shudders*

I had whatever their first album was back in middle school. Looking back now, it's pretty generic nu-metal with the same old generic, whining, angsty lyrics and same old generic guitar tone and same old generic vocals.

But hey, to each his own.

There's much worse you can be listening to... I'm not a huge fan, but personally I do find them to be less annoying than much of the other music thats currently out there...

It aint Green Day  I vaguely know who they are but to me they get lost in the mix. That's why I don't listen to American bands any more. I honestly cannot tell most of them apart, especially all the ones getting air play. I do like the singer's voice though. But I still can't tell their songs apart.

I don't know about that, because the more I hear Cage the Elephant, the more I think they are just trying to be a combination of Sublime and The Bloodhound Gang, but as you said, to each his own... 8)

I think Sublime cause of the lyrics, and Bloodhound Gang cause of all the notoriety, which may or may not be somewhat exaggerated and hyped up to help sell records, about being weird, wild, and crazy...
