I just wondered if anybody has found new brands of amps you like....brands that many people don't know about or haven't tried.

I recent played a Bugera and BlackHeart and enjoyed them immensely!

Yeah I heard of them, arent they designed by Soldano?

Hayden are great, a sister company of longtime bassist faves Ashdown. They used to produce under the Ashdown name, the Fallen Angel and the Peacemaker amps. Pretty good when they started with guitars, then went bad as they got into DSP. They've recently revitalized their range with handwired amps at near Marshall productionline prices. This should run at about $6/700 in the US

The only bad thing I can see about it is it runs on EL84's. Never heard a push/pull amp sound good on EL84's, their the valve for classA though.

I did get to try out a Peacemaker years back. After a huge argument in the shop. I went in wanting to try a DSL401 and a Ashdown Peacemaker. Both around the 50watt end. The guy in the shop will not let me try them till I tried a Engl Thunder. I ended up storming out and went elsewhere.
