I have been posting for several weeks to a month about getting a new American Special guitar soon. I finally reached my mark, the money in the bank and ready to go. Unfortunately I also decided to do my taxes this weekend.

Long story short...

Uncle Sam got me this year for...get this, almost the same price of the American Special Stratocaster. So the big save game starts again for me for my next guitar purchace.

I am truely bummed out about this, but such as life. I will start saving again. :( :( :( :(

is complaining about jobs and nirvana all you ever talk about?
yes, he may have a job but he also has responsibilitys us kids dont have, like car payments, loans, morgages, bills and taxes etc...
so whether you think so or not it also takes adults a while to save for a new "toy" because they have more responsibilitys, then us teens.

Almost sounds like the beginning line to a great Blues song. Maybe I will sit and write one to pass the time until I can save enough again.

Floyd,

I remember being turning 16 and getting my first job, fast food sucks. I was so proud of my first purchace (Jackson V with the Jackson Double locking tremolo). It only took me 3 months to save for it. Back then I made $3.50 an hour and averaged 20 hours a week. I think it was like $200-$210: something like that. Thank goodness for used instruments.

When the time comes I hope you get a great job.

Your right, it will take me about 4-5 months to save up for the guitar as long as another crisis doesn't arise.
