Congrats to all the Fender employees and especially to the ones who saved the company.

To me Fender means the best of both worlds, a high quality instrument at an acceptable price. What I think is even more impressive and a smart move by the company is the quality control on their non American made products. Instead of making the people feel like they are getting an inferior product we have discussions where we argue if there is any difference in the two. Great work Fender and keep on doing things the right way :D

I was lucky enough to be a manager at a music store that sold Fender Instruments. I was also unlucky enough to be doing it in the CBS era. We tried to carry the best stuff we could out of the line, but the rep was always pushing the dogs at us.

The same period of time was the "Norlin" era at Gibson, so we had to deal with a company that was grounded in refridgerators instead of musical instruments.

Companies like Ibanez and Dean probably owe a lot to the weakness of those two companies at that point in time.

It is gratifying to see the fine products the current Fender Company is producing. I wish Fender every success going forward. :)
