Hey people. I will not be posting again here.
The Cobain thing got out of hand on both sides but here are my reasons:

[EDIT] Not comfortable having such personal things out there in hindsight, hope no one minds my editing!

I have also suffered from depression all my life and no it is not easy but any real man would grow a pair of balls and push through for their daughter. Something I cannot do.

So I take issue when some kids tell me how I didn't know how Kurt felt etc as if they knew him, they are reading this in a book or off the net written by someone else who didn't know him. It is out of order.

I also wont take Floyd saying I was throwing any excuse to come down on Cobain when one of those 'excuses' as he puts it was the death of my baby girl. Again I wont take a child telling me who I can like and who I can't like. And I wont be compared to as a KKK member (Floyd again).

So so long folks, thats me, any of my close mates here can pm me on fbook.

p.s. Yes Niki, Lulu!

CC

CC, you are always thoughtful and that is most important, lack of true knowledge and experience can not be concealed, I am sorry that I tried to get the preschoolers to stop after all I am only a guitar player and hardly anyone listens to them unless they are platinum. Bro, stay, those others will learn some thing eventually. 8)

C.C. I'm so sorry that the mindless, senseless, heartless ramblings of an obsessed adolescent has come to this but I can empathsize with you fully. I have battled depression myself for years and have gotten professional help and medication to help cope with it.Although I have never Known and pray I never will know the pain of losing a child my cousin lost a child several years ago and I know the pain he endured and still does.I lost a very dear friend to suiicide a few years ago. Some people don't realize the damage they can be doing and the people they may be hurting by what they post. Over the past few months I've enjoyed the banter we've had on this forum and although we've never met I regard you as a good friend. Please don't let the words of a cerebral Lilliputian sever the friendships you've cultivated on this forum.Anyway whatever you choose you will be in my thoughts and prayers.Godspeed my dear friend.Derek.

CC... Take care of yourself Bro! I am truly sorry for your loss, I sincerely applaud you for making it through the days. And, I agree with you wholeheartedly about a real man being there for his daughter. Hopefully, some of these people who haven't "lived" will realize what life is really all about! We will surely miss you! Once again, Take Care!

CC...don't go forever...you're one of the people on here whose posts I look forward to. The fight seems to have gotten out of hand on the Forum. When there are more posts about one musician then about the guitars we ALL love then it has gone too far.

god bless in the meantime 8)

Edited for spelling...

CC,
As your birthday brother, I am asking you to reconsider. There are a lot of people online who post things without thinking, without regard to other peoples
feelings. They feel it's okay because of the anonymity. Don't let those people drive you away. You know that we are like your family here (thought we can never take the place of your daughter, RIP), and we not only value your input, but also your very presence here.
Serge

It is a sad day :(

Though I'm still new to the forum, I will miss your posts CC. You are always of sound mind, always have a good perspective or point of view on something, polite and a great sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers go out to you as a father of 4 girls.

Hate to see you go and Hope to see you around again.

hey man, sorry to hear about all your troubles.
many people may say this but i really do know how you feel CC. i've been suffering from severe depression for about three years. and during those times, suicide has almost taken me about three or four times. so i know how you feel about that. but i can't say anything about your little girl. thats a terrible thing to be going through. im really sorry to hear that man.

just one thing though. don't listen to Floyd. he's just bein a stupid kid. i can say that cuz im 17....anyways, don't listen to him. he's most likely a complete stranger and he is just tryin to act tough by calling you a KKK member. bottom line is he is just bein a dick...im not tryin to be cool by talkin crap on him im just tryin to help and give you some advice. even though you probably don't want to hear a junior in high school give you advice. but oh well

anyways, sorry to see you go CC

dont let your guitar playin MOJO go to waste man. keep it strong man!!!
peace.......

Never joined any of the Nirvana/cobain threads CC, it's all just rock n roll to me,from the begining of time till the end of tme people will have to have their say, forums, thats just the nature of the beast, something said in haste or jest can be understood or taken out of context, personality can be lost, humour too, and hurtful messages can be posted by some completly unaware of the consequences, I'm only on here for a bit of fun and maybe pick up a bit of guitar hints from fellow music lovers.
If personal insults were posted the ones responsable should be banned, I hope you feel that in time you can come back and enjoy posting again.
Best wishes to you and those close to you, and good luck with your music
