If you're a Hendrix fan, or even if you aren't, check out Valleys Of Neptune. Awesome.

Good for you guys, janie is a money grabbing vulture and everyone who doesn't want to see Jimi ripped off in death like he was in life should pirate a copy and rip her off.

It's cool to see how passionate Jimi's fans are to this day. His whole career was badly mismanaged outside of Chas Chandler. I've been struggling with the whole Experience Hendrix thing lately. I've read numerous books and articles about the legal battle that led to the current state of the Hendrix estate and I hate to think that nobody that Jimi cared about is benefiting from his career. That being said it will never change and I hope that even though greed is the key force behind these releases that they will continue to keep Jimi front and center and current. If the youth of the world has to see this to keep Hendrix alive then I'm all for it. The principal of it stinks but it is what it is. Is it better to have this corporation push Jimi to the forefront and keep his music alive or would we rather hope that his body of work somehow stays alive on it's own? We all love and idolize him but I'm 35 and he died 5 years before I was born. The people in their teens and 20 are discovering people like Nirvana and Pearl Jam not Hendrix and The Rolling Stones.
