I really don't want to, I can't look at that guy without disgust if I'm being honest.

I suffer from depression myself, many do. I'm talking about him as a father and a person. Some day you will look at your baby daughter in the face. Get back to me then.

Wow.. what a way to kill a thread.

If you seriously cannot back up any statements like "he stole that name" and talk about him in disgust with regard to his suicide- knowing that it will perhaps turn to a heated thread- then please dont comment with a hidden agenda.

Suicide- voluntry or involuntry. Thats what happens to people who arent strong enough to fight depression. People who get that low- even children or family cant break that kind of cycle. Thats something so strong that completely blankets every aspect of living life. People like that need hospital treatment, not anti-depression tablets. Hell, there are people who hear the sound of nails scratching on a school blackboard, or chit-chatter inside their head 24/7 52 weeks a year...year in, year out. It drives them crazy to the point of taking their own life. Even with a Wife or Husband, Children and Grandchildren, a huge family full of love... it doesnt discriminate at all. If you think thats disgusting, then you might be hitting that pretty close to home with some people who have been or have loved ones affected in some way.
-Myself included.

Truth is, its a problem in every town in this world, and its actually a big problem even with young teenagers.

You are clearly exploiting your so called "Freedom of Speech". Honestly- show a bit of compassion and keep your opinion to yourself. No need to justify your own depression either. Suicide is not something to turn your nose up at and look the other way.

BTW- my favourite Nirvana song is "Scentless Apprentice".

I'm entitled to my opinion. I appreciate Nirvana but do not like them and I have suffered depression my whole life and was on prozac at 16.

Kurt put himself before his baby daughter. That is no man in my eyes. I lost my 1 year old girl when I was 23. Kurt had everything, do not pretend you know me.

I shouldn't have to share these things to validate my opinion but so be it.

Now kindly $@!& off.

I sort of said this before, but I'll say it again...

Anyone over the age of 20 lived through Nirvana's rise and fall, and most of us are tired of discussing them daily. If you are over the age of 20, but are not over Kurt Cobain's death, unless you personally knew the man and he knew you on a personal, first name basis, you need to seek professional help...

Anyone under the age of 20...Unless your name is Frances Bean Cobain, I'm glad you have discovered Nirvana...BUT QUIT ACTING LIKE THE MAN DIED YESTERDAY! ITS BEEN OVER A DECADE AND A HALF. GET OVER IT. SUICIDE IS A SELFISH LOSERS WAY OUT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY LIKE KURT DID.

I like the band Nirvana, but have no respect for a man who leaves his child by killing himself. I don't want to hear about how sad he was unless you actually knew him because I don't want to hear the stuff you read about how sad he was from the internet or books. Unless you have actual proof or evidence that you personally have uncovered in the past few years that he was murdered, I don't want to hear some reworded internet conspiracy theory. And while I personally have lost respect for this man in just the past few months due to the suicide of a friend, I still think everyone should just let him rest in peace since thats what he wanted to do. If you really love and respect Kurt, just remember him, but just let him rest in peace and stop bringing up conspiracy theories and stop speaking on behalf of man you never knew personally.

Wow Celtic I have 2 young daughters of my own and I'm devastated for you to say the least. I can see your passion on this subject because when people use things as crutches and you've lived through them and triumphed it just about makes a man physically ill to hear their excuses. I would classify myself as a run of the mill fan of Nirvana but not Cobain after I read many different articles about him. Life is all about choices. I came on here to throw down my favorite Nirvana song (In Bloom) and walked into a discussion that I probably should but just can't ignore.

Thanks bro, I actually feel I've let her down by saying it on a guitar forum just to prove a point but that is one of the reasons Cobain pisses me off. I daily fight depression and it is NOT easy, since then, not even 5 ears ago all I have had is my music and all I have wanted is her. Cobain had both and blew his #$@*&!% head off.

I get heated when he is mentioned. I know people who would kill to have their daughter and I know plenty of people who suffer from depression. I fit both categories. Thats why it pisses me off when some 13 year old power chord lovin, cardigan wearin Kurt lover tries to tell me I dont understand.

okay.... from this point on please dont mention his death in this thread that was never what it was intended to run into.... just what nirvana songs you like.... im sorry for your loss, ive lost friends and that caused probably only half the pain you experienced, if even..... that being said, this is not what this thread was made for, it was made to discuss what your favorite song by nirvana is.... ive said it before and i'll say it again, if you dont like nirvana dont post in a thread that is essentially a fan thread, it will keep such negative, angry, and heated arguments from starting

Woah, can we just get along peoples. Now I know what stryder was talking about. Some people hate him, some people love him, doesn't matter what your likings for him are, just dont turn a thread into an argument, i hate those threads.

this was the reason for me asking, several times for the haters not to post.... apparently thats to hard though :? ..... please at least try to get this back on topic.... if you like them, post your favorite song, if you hate them, dont post at all, simple as that
