I think Fender leans toward more mainstream artists. He is a good guitar player but frankly...

My point, if there really is one... the band and the artist haven't stood the test of time.

My 2¢ worth. Peace. 8)

What are the features in his Tele that are different from current models?

Mike Olga is a damn fine guitar player but sadly sales aren't that great.

His guitar has a Seymour Duncan pickup in the bridge. His biggest mod/innovation however is his use of plectrum. It's a regular plectrum stuck to either a bit of tube for his thumb to go in. Or has gaffa tape wrapped round it in a arc to create a loop for the thumb. Doing that he can use his fingers and plectrum very quickly.

A really good player who as a player deserves a lot more support than he gets from both Fender and Marshall. He's been loyal to both since the late 70's. Sadly he just doesnt get the public exposure needed to get a endorsment deal from the big boys. Thats what its all about, how much and how effectively can the artist advertize the product.
He's a giant in the punk world but little known outside of it.
He also gives free lessons on how to play his songs. You couldnt imagine clapton doing that could you.

For a look click Mutimedia, then in the lower navigation bar click guitar
