what inspired you to play the instrument you play? If you could have your dream guitar...what would it be and what would it have? :?:

I'm a totally fender nut really. I can't say a brand or guitar inspired me to play but when I think of a bass it's a Jazz Bass and when I think of a guitar it's a Strat. Kinda like when you think of coffee you think of starbucks...
I do like a lot of other makes like Rickenbacker and Warwick though

Jack Bruce really inspired me to start playing.

My dream guitar would be an early 60's jazz bass deluxe in candy apple red with matching headstock. With the tortie PG, maple neck/Rosewood fingerboard and ashtrays - naturally. -drool-

i'm 85% fender crazy
10% gretsch crazy
and 5% jackson/crazy.

those are my 3 favorite brands.

honestly one of my friends got a flying v a few years ago and was showing me how to play tnt and smoke on the water, i just thought it was awsome so i guess you could say my friend inspired me to play. and my unyeilding love for insturmental music ie: jazz, concert bands, orchastras, solo guitarests (such as malmsteen and steve vai)

i would say that my dream guitar would be a gretsch white falcon, and a 62' reissue fender jaguar. being left handed both of these are rare to start with.

and i'ne found them both!!!!!!!!! left handed fender 62' jag - 1600 bucks
left handed gretsch white falcon singlecut - 3500 bucks.
i got me some saving to do :?

I'm 100 percent, dyed in the wool Fender.
Only the Jazz Bass is good enough for me, nothing comes close to the feel and growl. 8) 8)

Fenders and Gibsons here too. I'll throw in vintage Guild acoustics also. I've been a huge fan of Guild for over 30 years. All the quality of a Gibson or Martin acoustic without the huge pricetag. No one makes a better 12 string then Guild. Well, at least the old Guild. I don't know about the new Guilds.

My dream guitar has always been a Black HSS Fender Strat(almost there, just need a paint job), Ovation acoustic(I recently bought one), a black PRS custom22 or 24, and a Signature Aurora.

i'll always be a strat man, but i remember my teacher let me play his gibson byrdland back in the 60's when i sat in with his jazz combo. what a thrill, and what a guitar.

I regard myself as a Fender man, but like most guitarists who have been at it awhile, I dabble with other brands. Occasionally.

I'm told the G&Ls have custom shop quality at production guitar prices, though, I've never had the chance to play one myself. They are the last guitars from Leo.

They are nice guitars, but I think Leo got it right the first time.

My bass is a Jazz Bass, but my guitar is a vintage Rickenbacker. I'm a bass player, and I really do suck at the guitar, and the Ric is easy to play so I have never wandered.
