Anyone posting? Who's gets the most reaction?

I've been hanging flyers at all music shops in my area, post gigs on bostonbands.com and on facebook. So far, we've had best turn out by word of mouth and facebook. We pulled in about 80 people at our first gig, all friends of band members, club was happy and asked us to do monthly gigs. Hopefully crowd will follow to other gigs.

I'm kind of tired of Facebook, too many silly games, etc. But we have a website and we mention that during our gigs, hand out cards to the crowd with the address on it.

But word of mouth still has huge influence for us.
