i saw skynyrd at the time that "second helping" came out. i had only heard "sweet home alabama" at the time. i was blown away, and became an instant fan.

this seems to be one band who still can make it thru the years (amongst much tragedy), and still kick some butt.

is it true that the only member from the original band is gary rossington?

It is just tragic what happened to this band and after the crash nothing significant was ever really made, but what they had done already was so strong it just holds up so well today. I also wonder what could have been as they were right in there prime.
