For nearly 10 years I've been Fender's "website manager" which means that I oversee Fender.com and all of the other FMIC brand websites (Jackson, Gretsch, EVH, etc., etc.) -- also provide extensive internal support for internal corporate sites and operations, and am typically onsite for trade show activities and whatnot. While it used to be just me doing the above, the department has grown nicely over time and I now manage a small team of talented folks each with his/her own unique skill set (be it interactive design, backend coding, Flash development, you name it.)

Back to your original question, if I had to associate one word with it it would have to be "intense" -- the work hours tend to be very long and the demands very high, but the subject matter tends to make up for it as you can imagine. :-)

Hi rschreck97: I'll add something Brad has been too modest to mention. In his post, "Welcome to the Fender Lounge Forums" at the top of the Forum homepage, he has written:
Brad wrote:
Keep in mind that I am a member of Fender’s web staff. Ask me something about computers or website development and I’ll probably have a ready answer for you. On the other hand, ask me about the flux capacitor in the thing-a-ma-jig in the Stratocaster® 9000 guitar and I can virtually guarantee that you’re going to be met with a blank stare every time.

All I'm going to say is: take that with a big pinch of salt. These fellas are working for Fender rather than some other IT operation for a reason...

We're in good hands. :D

Cheers - C

I agree these forums are supurb, but more importanly.......

....WOW! A Fender "Stratocaster® 9000" with the highly desirable "flux capacitor in the thing-a-ma-jig" sounds truly amazing!

Brad, is this something I should ask Mike Eldred in custom shop? :D

Enjoy!

Andy (very excited!)
