I don't know if these are my absolute favorites, but they are up there ...

Saw (the first one)
Rob Zombie's Halloween I & II
Bram Stoker's Dracula (w/ Gary Oldman)

Does Zombieland count? Just saw that and it was excellent.

Other than that I don't have much to say since I'm not too much of a horror movie fan, give me a comedy anytime.

"From beyond the grave" with Peter Cushing. It is a shame that this fine actor doesn't get more deserved recognition.

"The Shining".

Manitou with Tony Curtis of all people but there are some scenes in it that are chilling to this day.

Probable the scariest movie I have never seen was Spice World

but runners up would be exorcist and Blair witch project... I like movies that make your mind run wild with fear not be grossed out like torture movies.. Or Seven was kick butt too. I don't know too much of the new ones cause I have kids so I am on a disney diet pretty much LOL..

It might be that I like it for the wrong reasons though. Suffice to say: I once met Jenny Agutter in a bookshop doing a book signing.

...Sigh...

Cheers - C

The Hitcher. The original, not the remake. I haven't seen that one yet.

Halloween---Orginal

Friday the 13th---Orginal

Texas Chainsaw Massacre--orginal

Alien--but more sci-fi horror than real horror

Dawn of the Dead--The really cheesey 80's version. It should be classified as a comedy.
