Me - "The boys and I are leaving to the local guitar store just to goof around"......

Wife - "Have fun....be good for your Dad boys...."

idea bubble above my head as I am driving - "I will just test the Blues Jr. standard and the Blues Jr. Tweed Special Edition just to see the difference". (as stated in on-line reviews)

......arrival at store......wandering....wandering......wandering to the Fender Amp section........

Blues Jr. standard model $339.00....huh?!?!
Blues Jr. Tweed Special Edition model $399.00 ......oh boy......

(wheels spinning and churning in my head.....vast amounts of excitement) ah....the demo price.

Play.....think....play....think.....play....think.........."man this NOS sounds sweet"...

Me to guitar store employee.......does the demo model have a warranty???? music store employee answer: 30 store warranty, no mfg. warranty on demos but an extended 7 year warranty can be purchased for the low price of $69.95(ouch!)

Play.....think....play....think.....play....think.........."man this Tweed Special Edition sounds sweet"...

.....purchase amp?......purchase warranty?.....hmmmm

Play.....think....play....think.....play....think.........."man this Tweed Special Edition sounds sweet"...

Me to the guitar store employee - "I'll take it....no warranty...I'm gonna roll the dice"......

arrival at home........Honey!?!?!

8) Beaubs (pictures will be forthcoming - the Mrs. is in charge of that...)

I modified / edited my story changing the name of the amp from a NOS to a Special Edition Tweed. Obviously with all the excitement I wasn't clear with the amp name in my story........by the way, this think sounds saaaaaaaweet!

Thanks Guitslinger and yes as you have stated, it is the same amp (I was a bit confused as to what the model plate on the amp reads and what was advertised at the store..... and I agree, it sounds fabulous. I am very excited that I have made this purchase!!!!!

I'd done the same thing. Every one that I have seen have been $500 for the new ones and $580 for the NOS.

Nice deal. Patiently waiting for Mrs. Beaubs to get those pics ready to post. Congrats on the awesome new amp.

If you bought a new Blues Junior from a Fender dealer, then you should get the 5 year warranty that comes with the amp. I don't think that you lose the warranty because it's a demo.
