I happen to be a fervent, ardent support of our local ladies Roller Derby team, the Nashville Roller Girls. Amazing athletes. Last night's bout was a hard fought win again the Pikes Peak Derby Dolls.

This is not your father's Roller Derby (or yours from your youth if you are as old as I am). Not a staged entertainment event like professional wrestling.

These are extremely athlethic young ladies in an extremely competitive environment.
If you have a local Women's Flat Track Derby Association team in your area, and have not been to see them - I urge you to check them out quickly!

Tickets are usually something like $10. Hard hitting semi-scantily dressed young ladies and a cold PBR - cheap entertainment. Take it from ol' TC.

Okay you answered my question already as I was going to ask arent the winners pre determined as I remember it as a kid. But I would say on the level playing to win it must be exciting to watch.

Don't forget Leon Russell's "Queen of the Roller Derby"
