Well, I was perusing different guitar websites and came upon the PRS one and low and behold Buddy Guy is promoting their new 305. Made me sad, i guess he's not exclusive with Fender anymore.

I'm sure fender will yank his model soon.

Nah, they won't yank his model as long as it sells. Fender doesn't own Buddy Guy. For me, I love the mans music, I wouldn't care if he played it on a cigar box guitar. It's the music, not the guitar he plays.

Buddy has been playing Strats since the 50s. I doubt he lost his love for them, but just like most of us I would guess he likes whipping something else out every know and then.

Its all about the cash....not dedication to one specific company. Their being paid to use their name, if that was one of us we wouldn`t do the same thing ?

Buddy has played a lot of different guitars since the 50's LOL. He was angry with Fender way back because he didn't have a sig guitar. Ladies and Gents, you need to understand that for a professional musician, guitars are tools of the trade not brand loyalty. They are basically a dime a dozen for many. Even SRV has been known to wield a Dano Doubleneck and Rory Gallagher has played Supro's, Tele's and even Coral Electric Sitars. It's just a guitar. I have a Strat but I don't live and die by my Strat. Some stuff just sounds better on something else.

I can't tell.
Well, as far as Buddy is concerned, he has no business relationship with PRS in any way for the time being, so...
Nor does Dweezil (who, by the way, was quite excited by the Hagstrom Viking too).
