light my fire by the doors is always a favorite of mine.

2nd choice would be the vanilla fudge version of "you keep me hangin' on"
make sure you get the longer version- much better then the single

I purposely didn't mention Steve Winwood and Ray Manzerik knowing that someone would definitely get them eventually.BTW:Note to SBLS the drummer for the Rascals was a founding member,Dino Danelli,he started drumming long before his teens and by the time he turned 15 he had turned pro and was much sought after by acts for studio work(little wonder)he was a true showman.

I don't think it's an organ, but the keyboard in The Who's Baba O'Riley always gets me.

Not really an organ, but rather a synthesizer....I always enjoyed the guy (can't remember his name) who played with Del Shannon on "Runaway" and "Hat's Off To Larry" among others.

My top favorite was already mentioned:
Quote:
Procol Harums"Whiter Shade of Pale"played by Matthew Fisher
I had never realized that it was actually a duet with a piano and Hammond organ until I saw them play on PBS a year or so ago. Plus, just last night, the singer (was that Matthew Fisher?) who played the piano played and sang the song on Jools Holland's "Later" with Jools on the Hammond (not a great job by Jools).

Edit Just checked Wikipedia and Gary Brooker was the vocalist/pianist. Regardless, that was a CLASSIC!

I saw that Band at a Dick Clark teen expo, can't remember what the actual name was, that was crossing the country in '66 and hadn't ever seen a drummer twirl his sticks or toss them in the air and catch them before, Dino started the rock drummer show way back then. My Bro Tommy Aldridge is really good at it and another Bro of mine still here in Chi, Gregg Potter, almost looks like Dino the way he plays, thanks guitslinger.
