I do have the Shure E4 earbuds but not the PSM box, I use it for with my iPod.

I also have the Shure E4's but I use them with my ipod or my mac when playing around w/ Garageband

Eddie Vedder started using one of those and if you listen to recordings of Pearl Jam before and after he did you can really tell the difference. I don't really know much about them though.

The Shures are expensive but you can hear things at lower volumes that you just can't hear with other listening methods. I've been listening thru all mediums since 1963.

The use of in-ear monitors eliminates all the classic problems of stage volume, monitor bleed-over, and having the correct monitor mix no matter where one is on or off the stage. Not only do you make friends with the FOH; it also makes for a much tighter performance. Even if your style calls for a raging stack on the verge of runaway feedback, you can still hear your bandmates.
