1979 - Thin Lizzy was the opening act for Nazareth in Madison Wisconsin. Phil Lynott, Scott Gorham, Gary Moore and Brian Downey. The best concert I ever saw by my favorite band. I wish I could have seen Brian Robertson with Scott Gorham but man Gary Moore played great! Thin Lizzy were famous for their twin Les Pauls but that night Gary Moore played only Stratocasters, one white and one yellow with a leopard print. Phil had his black Precision with a chrome pick guard, he would reflect the spotlight back into the crowd any where in the coliseum. Oh yeah, Nazareth was good too. Classic old school 70's British hard rock concert.

Thats a healthy mix of Ireland and Scotland there. I love Nazareth too. My parents went to school with them and are Axl Rose's favourite band which is why GN'R covered Hair of the Dog. Manny Charlton was nearly the producer of Appetite for Destruction too. Great band, their song Guilty is beautiful, in fact anything off the Hair of the Dog album is great.

I have to say Rammstein in Reykjavik in 2001. I sweated so much that my cell phone drowned in my pants pocket.
