Saw quite a few good ones. Can't really recall any that sucked.

But in reponse to the OP it would have to be Springsteen and the E Street Band on New Year's Eve.

It is funny that should ask that. I was thinking about this thread yesterday, and while I stand by previous top three (Who/Thin Lizzy/Halen), this would be my #4:

Metallica and Gun n Roses (with Motorhead opening) -- Seattle
This was the infamous tour in 1994 where the they toured together, each of them doing full headline sets. 6+ hours long. Also very notoriuos was Guns being either very good or very bad. Well, in Seattle, Guns was phenomenal. For this tour they had what they called a "snake pit" in front of the stage, basically a protected area right behind the photographers, needing a wristband to enter. I jury-rigged my way in to the snake pit at the end of Metallica to see them and stayed there for GnR. So I got to watch the show right in front of the stage with no crowd. It was awesome ...

Number one (and surely always will be!) Thin Lizzy in 83 at Leeds Queen's Hall, me & my little brother were totally blown away by the whole thing...

Earth wind & fire at NEC (81?) was like a magic show & massively loud! couldn't hear properley for hours afterwards

Clapton at Harewood house on a lovely summers night was a bucketlist tick for me

So wish I'd seen Jimi :-(

Don't you mean 92?

I saw
Guns N' Roses in 1991, 2001 and 2006
Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds in 1992
Velvet Revolver in 2005, 2007
Duff McKagan's Loaded 2008 and 2009
My old band toured with Adler's Appetite, Gilby Clarke and L.A. Guns also.

Around 1980 when I was in The Marine Corps - I saw Van Halen, The Outlaws, Poco and Boston at a outdoor stadium concert in Raleigh N.C.,

I was going on memory it being 1994. If you say it was 1992, it is very likely that you are correct. Great show, though, either way. And -- to top it off -- getting Motorhead, too. Ahhh, those were the days ...

Velvet Revolver still don't have a singer. My mate Philly from a band here called Million Dollar Reload auditioned as did many. Slash goes through a lot of singers and then blames them for things falling apart (GN'R, Snakepit, VR). Common Denominator anyone? Slash is busy with his new album Slash and friends and will be touring that. Rumors are that Izzy will be touring with him on the other guitar. Here's hopin. Izzy, Duff and Steve are all on Slash's new album.
