Hard to pick a single concert and say it was "the best!" They have all had good and bad points... more good. :P

For the sake of settling on only one... I'll say The Little River Band. It was truly a good night of music in a comfortable setting in our old Paramount Theater. 8)

Worst show i went to was Primus. They were fine but the Melvins opened for them. I realize they have a following but I was right up front when the dude just walked on stage, struck a note and let the feedback ring for about 10 minutes with this dreamy zoned out look on his face as if what was emanating from his amp was supposed to wisk us all away to utopia... i kind of wish it had wisked me to the back of the crowd so i could've left. I ended up throwing a lighter at him.

Alanis Morissette sucked, I think i got really drunk and started yelling "you suck" at the top of my lungs.

The first time I saw Tom Petty was awesome, the second time I saw him sucked. He played a little acoustic set by himself on a stool for about 45 min and everyone just sat down and started yawning. Don't get me wrong... i love acoustic music but Mike Campbell is one of my favorites so i just wanted him to get back on the stage.

Best Rock - Ted Nugent
Best Country(?) - Lyle Lovett
Best Rock Blues - ZZ Top

Worst concert ever for me was Aerosmith in the early 80's - they really stunk it up....

i am not sure if it counts but the best concert i have ever been to is "Yamato - japanese taiko drum concert" it was freakin' incredible.

other than that one i would say toss up between "pink floyd" at the sombrero in Tampa florida 1994 or Suicidal Tendencies 1986 (in a VFW basement in Catty PA)

Zen, I was at the big sombrero in 94 too. I used to live in Dunedin.

hey stray cat
can not believe you mentioned the thin lizzy/queen show in 76
caught that same tour at the old boston garden.no disrespect to queen but lizzy blew them away.
i still think queens first album was great harder rock but that tour was promoting a night at the opera and i was not prepaired for the road they were going down.
lizzy was at the top of there game. was gary moore stil with the band in 76 ?

I'm very pleased to see so many mentions of AC/DC. I saw them twice at the beggining of this current tour 12 and 21 Dec 08. AWESOME. My favorite band for sure. Also have tickets for the last show of the tour in Berlin on 21 Jun this year! But they might just get out done by Crossroads Guitar Festival this year..
