In the early 1980's AC/DC played a hall here for their Back in Black tour.

The closest thing to theatrics was at the very start of the show. A bell was lowered to the stage with a pineapple hanging off it (pineapples seem to be associated with the state I live in). Brian Johnson smashed the pineapple against the bell with a sledge hammer for the opening to Hell's Bells. The rest of the night was straight rock and they played like they had a point to prove.

While we were all trying to get out of the hall after the concert, Monty Python's "Sit on my Face" was playing over the loud speakers. Funny how some things stick in the mind.

ACDC. Didn't get to see them this time round but saw them last time they were in Melbourne back in '02 I think. Awesome show! They really set the standard.

For me it has to be Metallica a year or so ago. Great show. Not only was it a good show but after it was done they probably spent 20 minutes playing around with the crowd. The lights were on and they were walking around the stage high fiving people and giving away picks and anything else they had. Also I got to see Ozzy about 6 years ago and he came out and rocked the house for over 2 hours. For him to put on a show like that at his age was great. It was also fun to see Zakk Wylde thrashing around in front of his wall of Marshalls too :D

Also for Guitargirl I think I remember that you're a big Slash fan. Here's something for ya

AC/DC.... first at TD Bank North Garden or whatever its called in october 08 i think and then gillette stadium last july..... great shows..... Phil Rudd is a MONSTER lol he held the same beat, no flaws, no signs of tiring whatsoever, for damn near 15 minutes while Angus did the greatest improved solo ive ever seen.... hopefully theyll do a tour for the fake album coming out (hardcore AC/DC fans might know why im caliing it a fake album....)

It was Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Twisted Sister, and one other band I forgot their name (too long ago). 6 and a half hours of in your face Metal. My ears still have a slight ringing from that concert.

Does that mean best concert I've seen twice?
Or best band I've seen twice?

Anyway--Best concert?

Glenn Kaiser solo acoustic concert last spring--incredible.

Runners up would be the second time I saw BB King--which takes top honours for seeing someone twice.)
Joe Satriani
The second time I saw Neil Young.
