Hey y'all. New to the forum and I've got a question. Thought it would be easy to answer but alas it's not.

I'm looking for the original price of 1950's fender guitars. Not the current value but rather what I would have paid for, let's say a '55 Tele, if I were to go back to 1955 and purchase one then. (obviously, we should negate the cost of any time machine in your response)

Google could only help me with current pricing and a search of the site here resulted in thousands of return hits to sort through.

So, any help? Thanks.
