I just got to play with one of those chinese LesPaul fakes. The £350 jobs.

Gotta say their incredibly good visualy, in use and their sound. The font on the serial is the right size as is the size shape and feel of the thing. Really really very good. I'll be ordering one sometime tomorrow evening. The wiring was a bit iffy on this one and the 10th fret was a smidggen low. Aside from that it was a killer axe. The guy had to tell me it was a fake, then I noticed the script on the truss cover was slightly off. Looking at the rear of the body it had a laminated back with cream backplates.

All in all I was very impressed, nothing up with that, that a hours worth of work wouldnt put right.

So, you're buying one Ninja? Got a pic of the model?

If you give it a good review I might get one for fun and I can't afford a real one just now!

This Gibson Electricity Guitar

Image

The guitar is $326, the shipping is $120. Thats $446 then around $90 import taxes brings it to $536 or £354. What I played tonight was well worth that cost.

Still a nice guitar, but not worth the stratosphere money of a 1960. He decided not to sell it.

HAHA! Pawn Stars. Gotta tell you guys, that whole show is all staged. A friend of mine did a deal with a boat on the show and another friend was asked to do a deal with his Harley. Everything is setup and rehearsed in advance. They even asked my friend with the Harley to act pissed off and start an argument over the value of his bike. He declined and didn't do the show. You can't even get into the place anymore because the have it roped off and people at the door to keep you out.

The only way i could point out a fake LP is by the price and maybe the really obvious differences. All of the other LP copies are not really LP fakes. There is a difference. I think some of the copies are just as good if not better than the Gibbys if you mod them up a little. For the price of a real Gibson you could buy 5 or 6 copies with mods that put them in better quality than Gibson.

Hi Hop,I have a 65 John Lennon Casino and besides my Jimmy Vaughn Strat it is the easiest guitar I've ever played, little or no effort to fret a note or chord. As far as I know the Inspired by John Lennon Casinos have MIA hardware in fact Im 90% sure, even the original John Lennon Models were well worth the list price as the sound and build quality are beyond comparison.Getting back to the topic at hand you can tell a real Les Paul by the way the headstock cracks off with the slightest impact. The market for Les Pauls is getting so outrageous that there are now MIC copies of MIJ and MIK copies-case in point-a buddy of mine bought what was supposed to be a Tokai Love Rock(Lawsuit guitar)but when he checked out the serial number on the Tokai website he found that it was an MIC fake,a quite good one but never the less a fake. He also got a lot of info from a forum dedicated to Tokai Love Rock Les Paul copies.

So, the $999 model is alright but the $2700 one is much better? You have the Higher priced 65 model then. I've always wanted one since the roof concert!! 8)

Yes the $2700 is an absolutely fabulous guitar but the Inspired by series at $999 is a tremendous bargain and from what I've read on the Epiphone Forum really close to the expensive one in every respect.BTW I paid $2600 Canadian for mine last March and that's with a very low(49) serial number. If you buy a John Lennon you have to buy a Vox AC30 lol,or a Fender Twin like John used on Let It Be and the famous rooftop session. But seriously I bought a Vox AD120VTH modelling amp and it can recreate the AC30 and Twin spot on as well as a lot of other amps and a pile of on-board effects all for $400 used.

Nope, that wasn't his. He didn't do the show because they were just to ridiculous. They actually hunt thru classifieds and other ads looking for something they think would be good to have on the show and recruit people that way. They even create sellers out of people just trying to see the shop and use items that are already on hand. The whole thing is just laughable.

Me yet again Hop,I also have a MIC Casino and although not quite up to the standards of the Elitist or John Lennon models for around $750 it's a very good guitar and has the Casino sparkle in the tone, mine is natural and looks like a really expensive guitar.
