I have a black fender with locking nuts and fine tuning adjusters at the bridge end. It also has a numbucker pickup at the bridge end and a wammy floating whammy bar. The problem is I don't know anything else about it and it doesn't have the model type on although it feels like a strat.

The model number is E843024.

Can anyone let me know how I can go about finding out more about it?

Cheers from Manchester, England.

Phil

Where is it made (it should say it on the headstock).

Hi
Thanks for getting back. It doesn't say anything on the headstock other than 'By Fender' on the front of it and there's a metal plate on the back of the body, supporting the neck, that says 'Fender USA'.

Cheers, Phil

If it was American made, it was made between '88 and '89. And as bluestube said if it's Japanese in was made between '84 and'87....and according to another site if it's Japanese it could've been made between '84 and '89.
..So if it was American or Japanese made the earliest it could've been made is '84 and the latest is '89.
Hope that helped a bit.

EDIT: Does your trem look like any of these?
