Just finished watching an episode of "Chuck" on the tube and when the credits rolled by I could have sworn the name Buzz Feiten flashed by and I'm thinking, "What? Am I really that much of a guitar nerd herder that I see guitar names in everything now?" Then I realize, no ... I'm pretty sure I saw that name correctly, so then what could that mean? That the prop guitar in Chuck's bedroom on the set has a mod that warrants a credit? That sounds just too bizarre, even for me but that's about the only other reason I can think of for his name to flash by on the credits. I didn't do enough acid as a punk kid to be having flashbacks. I don't have the intercept in my brain so I didn't flash on it. So finally the truly mad-hatter nature of my thoughts got the better of me and I stopped torturing myself and I searched IMDB's listing for Chuck and it turns out the head camera guy is one Buzz Feitshans.

How weird is that? Two guys with last names so similar and both end up with the same nickname for their first name? Like Joe Walsh said on the Eagles Live album, "Wow, man. I'm freakin' out!"

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I always found it weird that on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine they had a cast member called Armin Shimmerman and a production guy called Herman Zimmerman. Too rare, too similar.

Buzz Feiten. What a blast from the past. He was on Neil Larsen's stuff.
I think they then formed the Larsen-Feiten Band. Or Feiten-Larsen, whatever.

You got me thinkin' about that music and the things I used to do.....

What happened? Now I'm stuck in the adult doldrums, trying to crawl out of the trenches.
