I did a search, and couldn't find a thread like this.

I recently bought a house and somehow convinced my fiance that I need a music room (for practicing, teaching, etc.). So I have a nice, finished room in the basement to put my gear. Nice. But I need inspiration.

Post some pictures of your room. Do you teach out of it? Is is soundproofed in any way? Do you use it to record?

Lets see 'em.

I just use one end of my study / home office. Not ideal but it's enough space for now (at least until I expand my guitar collection :D )

Have to wait till I get home to upload a pic...

BTW I think there was a thread like this called "show us your practise space" or something along those lines.

I had a music room a couple months ago but it has somehow slowly turned into the wife's sewing, painting(art), and crafts room!! It happened so fast that I didn't realize it until this thread popped up!!

I'm not sure if I can get pictures but my friend at work turned his unfinished basement into a music room. He's a drummer but he also plays guitar and a few of us got together one weekend and stuffed egg carton flats that he had been hording for 2 years in between every stud in the basement. He then installed a drop ceiling where he left an extra 8" of space in so that he could stuff foam mattresses that he had been gathering. A bunch of us came over to help because we had been busting his chops after learning about his grand scheme when he bought his new place last year. After spending 12 hours at his place helping his stuff his egg cartons into the walls and installing his ceiling complete with mattresses he finally sent us upstairs and stuffed a towel under the door and started banging away. All we could hear was a distant thumping that sounded like some guy a block away with a big stereo. We were all floored and busting a gut when he came strutting upstairs and gave us the finger and chugged a beer and brought us back down to party with him in celebration of his master plan. It was a good day
