Really sorry to hear that man! People just don't look for bikes when they're driving.

It took years to learn how to play, it may take a while to relearn some things. Keep at it, you know you love it!

I'm so sorry to hear that. I fell down my steps at home and broke the large wrist bone in half. Also the small bone was partly separated from the rest. It was my first break in my life. I screamed cried, grabbed ice, took off my wedding ring, then I saw my guitar & I thought I'd never play again. Doctor had to operate & put in a titanium plate with screws. I had a long road to recovery and many months of physical therapy. I had to put my guitars out of sight, was easier that way.

Are you going to need physical therapy? If so when your therapist says it's ok to slowly start playing again bring in your guitar & show them it's not as easy as they think. I play now, but just not as long as I would like to. When it starts to hurt I know it's time to put it down. Seven months without playing was really tough.

Take care of yourself & I hope you recover quickly.

yeah, sorry to hear that man! :(

Get well soon, I know if it happened to me I'd still try to play guitar even if it hurt...I'm stupid that way.

Sorry to hear of your incident.

Larry Carlton (studio legend, Steely Dan, Crusaders, etc.) was shot in a random shooting and lost significant motor skills. He had to reteach himself everything. He cites this experience as a significant event that helped him reframe some of his approaches. So... not to sound like a cheezy Lifetime movie or anything but, I guess there can be good things to come of your experience.
