Most people on here seem to have the obligatory gear list as their sig (myself included), but a few brave souls dare to be different by posting something creative, meaningful and/or funny instead. As a show of appreciation I felt the need to post some of the best that I have seen in my short time on this forum. I did not include whose signature they are out of modesty toward the owners, but you know who you are.

Here they are in no particular order:

If anyone out there knows of any other signatures that should be included in this "List of Honorees", feel free to post it here (please do not post your own sig).

Hi FBRN, and welcome! Thanks for including me in the list. My signature grew out of an actual conversation I had with a hardcore Gibson fan. I told him I was planning to buy a dual-humbucker Tele to add to my Strat and Jazzmaster. He asked why I wouldn't just get a Les Paul if I wanted humbuckers. My answer was, "No, I only buy guitars that end in 'Aster.'" I changed my forum signature the very next day.

Funny, but I've also been thinking lately about changing my signature. What do you think of this one?

I change mine from time to time as well. Some times it's a picture, some times a cool quote, and some times it's the standard gear list.

Absolutely. Let people who've been around longer than you help you. That way you learn more and it keeps you humble.

I think that the best piece of advise anyone's ever given me about guitar is to do it because you love it. Not for any other reason, but there really aren't very many other reasons. I have to say Miami Mike's quote works for me.
It really says alot and I can relate to it. The quote I have is universal and reserved for my favorite sunday comics character..nothing special. BTW nice thread idea. -N
