Hello SolidBody Love Songs,

Still blowin& snowin in these parts.
Should have about a foot by nightfall that'll
make about 7-8 foot of snow for us this year. :D
As for crippling, not really from my point of view all
the roads are easily drivable, shops are open and worst
of all, no snow day for me.

Cheers.

I have LOTS of branches down all over my yard and a lot of standing water but the cellar appears to not be flooded at this time... so all is well. The snow melt and rain fall have certainly added up! The winds are going to calm down a bit in a couple of hours. At least I have power, many people do not. I could get by without it... wood heat, propane hot water heater, city water, etc... I've been listening to my NOAA weather radio and it's just a repeat of the text at the NOAA web site. Weather for Rutland, VT

I have some yard work I should be out doing but the place I always dump my yard waste is sort of flooded right now so I'm in no real hurry.

I played the Strat earlier so I got the most important thing done already! I'd better get a nice acoustic in case I lose power!

There's well over a foot here (Central NJ) and its still coming down big time. The forecast is for like 24 hours more of this including increasing winds up to 40 MPH. All the roads are a mess because the powers that be can't keep up with it. I'm on the job but I'm positively going to leave early. All in all though, it ain't nothing we can't handle!

Mr Bill, VT BlackStrat, Martian, thanks Bros for the update, so glad that you are all alright and in good spirits. Keep us posted with what is happening. I hope we hear from the other east coast Forum Bros and that they are OK too. The weather here says the storm that you have is actually backing up and now coming west across the lake to hit Chicago this afternoon. All of you stay in, stay warm, stay safe.

NY here, snow still falling but made it to work, as usual. More than half the people stayed home.

This seems to be the worst storm so far. We have about 18 inches and they said we`re getting another 5 or 6 before it ends. To everyone in the storms path...be safe driving and be careful shoveling...this much snow causes heart attacks.

Well, for what appears to be great news, it is still lightly snowing here (Central NJ) but the sun has been out for the last 45 minutes or so and whatever snow and ice that was on the cars has totally melted off. The roads are pure slush now so hopefully, this is the beginning of the end of it all. :D :D :D

atolleter, JPD, Martian, thank you for keeping us informed, glad to hear that the snow has started to melt Martian. The clouds and wind are in Chicago now but so far no snow, 1st time I've hear'd of a storm coming west. It is Friday, so hopefully you all will have a snow free weekend.

Last night was insane! The lights went on and off every other minute like a strobe light with two longer stretches in-between. You could just hear everything blowing around...interesting night...

My folks live in upstate NY and when I spoke to them last night they had over 12" fall..luckily they have their drive way plowed out so my dad doesn't have to worry about hurting himself. Here in GA it is sunny and in the 50's I know it sounds silly but I really miss home and the snow and mountains! I can't wait for the Army to send me back up north.
