In any business it helps to know folks who are connected to the industry your are in.

I don't have any famous folks that I can speak of. I have worked with some notable musicians. Long-time member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, Roy Bittan produced an album that I had preformed on the recording session. The session guitarist ended up performing and recording with Grammy award winning artist, Lucinda Williams. The whole experience in LA was a pleasure.

Otherwise the brief connection didn't amount to much. Then again, I don't live in LA. That would help. Back to the ' blues' circuit. 8)

Buck Dharma from Blue Oyster Cult lived next door to my mom and they grew up together. I think my grandfather helped him build his first amp. They kept in contact for a while, not so much anymore but I've gotten to go to a few shows and gone backstage which was pretty exciting. He had some good advice and insight in persuing my career in Audio engineering.

My wife has a family friend who plays guitar for a big country singer. However it has never done me any good considering that this person only plays guitar and isn't famous himself. Plus my wife has not kept in touch over the years so... Oh well, it's still kinda cool though.
