I am thinking about ordering a Mighty Moe Amp/Strap. Does anyone here have any experience with one? I take a lot of 1 - 3 day trips (so my wife can take nature photos)and I was thinking of getting one for use in hotels. I have a VOX Amplug AC30 that is okay but the headphone wire running from the bottom of the guitar to my ear is just a little annoying. I would appreciate anyones opinions about the Mighty Moe.

Thanks.........

I've never heard it, but if Wallymart is carrying it, it's usually not a good sign :

I've seen them advertised in guitar mags and a couple of them reviewed it and gave it favourable reviews.Don't expect the sound quality you'd get from a small practise amp though as the speaker is quite small,I haven't heard it myself,I'm just going by the reviews.

Dude, get yourself a Fender Mini Tone-Master. You will sound way better and the price is about the same. :)

You can get clean tones and overdriven sounds as well. I am using a compressor thru mine now and it sounds great.

Thanks for all of the input everybody.

stratoBobster: The Fender Mini-Tone Master seems like a nice practice tool but I was looking for something that I could use headphones with that wouldn't tie me down. I have one of the VOX Amplugs but the headphone cable running from the bottom of the guitar drives me batty.

Thanks again.......

Maybe an extension for the cable would work out for you better?

You could always use wireless headphones, they can be picked up pretty cheap these days.Just plug your AMPplug into the transmitter and away you go.
