I just realized that exactly one year ago I played Texas Flood for the first time in public at an actual gig. And I'll admit it, I wore the hat. :P At the time Texas Flood and Hideaway were the only two songs I could play all the way through (I'm notorious for only learning intros and solos). And my new year's resolution was to learn a new SRV song all the way through each month. Well, now I know over 100 songs all the way through and they're aren't all just blues songs. :D Now I'm all excited and proud of myself. I hope I can look back in another year and think about how stupid and horrible a guitar player I am now.

for me one year ago I was about a month away from joining my 1st band in longer than I should have waited.

Yeah, I was exaggerating a little. But I really do hope I can look back on another year and think about how much I've learned. :D

Hey Texas....can you post your YouTube link again? I'd like to see you play. Thanks.

This was at the store finals last summer... I was really nervous.

And this was at the district finals a few weeks later... At that point I didn't care about whether I made it or not, I was just having fun. :)

Hopefully I'll have something new to post sometime soon. I haven't recorded much lately.
