well it's been a few days since i got the epi LP and i'm loving it  , i can now boogie along to some good ol' zz top with the same tone as billy 8) , i knew when i got it that it sounded good , now my fingers have learned the fingerboard it's astounding  spent this morning polishing of a few wee licks in francine , then played along to just got paid , my heads in missisipi and a few others , i'm falling for this tone beast big time , so if anyone is thinking of getting an epi LP don't hesitate , go for it , you will not be disapointed at all. then again having it running into a jcm800 might have something to do with the sound but man it sounds so sweet , cheers
Alan

They are great guitars for the money!
Very good deal for what you get, and comfortable as well.
Enjoy her! :D

Good on you. Much to be said for having a collection which allows you to see and feel and hold and dig the vibe of different guitars.

Modeling guitars like Variax are splendid for varied quick changes of sound, but on vibe...in this opinion, man, ain't nobody home....

jsjh you are spot on, i used to make do with the strat and a distortion pedal to give a bit more gain but it was never going to sound like a LP. the girls sg400 was a bit nearer but not quite there on tone for zz top , but it was ideal for santana and sahb stuff :) but i'm well pleased with this even though it's an epi, it's doing the thing i want 8) vibe and tone rule

Glad yer lovin it mate. I sometimes have my mates as my back-up at gigs. I love them but I just dont think my hands are right for the neck. Brilliant guitars though.

CC it's taken my hand a few days to get used to the neck , but now i am used to it 8) , you might want to play your mates for 5 days or so , once it all clicks together it's something else :)

All the humbucker equipped Epis sound great through a JCM 800 I run G400 Custom and Firebird through my 2204 and it's a feast for the ears. Glad to hear you're getting great sounds from your set up.

It is so nice to change up and go from single coils to humbuckers, as it also gives you different ideas playing wise. I personally feel every player should have at least one of both.

They are great guitars. I have an Epi Les Paul Custom Flametop that I put Burstbucker Pro pickups in. It is a wonderful sounding and playing guitar that sustains forever. In some ways none of my other guitars can compare to it. It is one of the Korean made Epi's. I dont play it nearly as much as I should.

sharing the love...

I love my Epi Custom Silverburst. I agree everyone should have at least 1 Les Paul. I love variety. The Epiphones are a great platform for upgrades too!

I've got a Strat, a Tele, a Les Paul and a Gibson ES-339 and I would not trade any of them. You can get great tones that are unique to each of them.

I know how you feel, I get on kicks with each of my guitars, but I will say I always go back to the Strat. Mine is an '01 MIM with EMG SA pickups and it is my favorite guitar, especially for when clean tones are called for. There is just something about the feel and comfort of a Strat too.
