I just thought i'd spread the good word that i'm FINALLY going to my first Eric Clapton concert and i'm super dooper jazzed!!! I'm seeing him in Orlando, FL on March 13th.....I'm so EXCITED!!!

Haha, congratulations!! I hope to see him live one day, myself, haha! Have an awesome time at the concert, and try and take some pics for us!!

hey downward78 I just saw Clapton myself last night in Toronto. I've been waiting since 69 to see him and finally made it. GREAT SHOW but not impressed with Jeff Beck, just not in Clapton's league.

Saw him here in Tulsa all the time in the early 70's. He was playing with JJ Cale and a local band called Tulsa County. He took all them (Jamie Oldaker-Dick Sims and Carl Radle ) and they were his band for about 6 0r 7 years. He'd walk right in a bar here and hop on the stage and jam-out. I've seen Clapton 5 times, first time being in 88 or 89. The best show was the Nothing But The Blues tour, he really tore it up.

I'll have to check his webpage and see if he's coming my way anytime soon. I'm not a big Jeff Beck fan myself, but I wouldn't mind having his series of Strat.

Congrats and love the show. Well everyone is entitled to there opinion and since I love them both equally I just think those who did not dig Beck are probably not that familiar with his music. But to say not in his league I would strongly have to differ. In fact in NY Clapton did not recieve such a great review while Beck did. But personally I love them both.

Mike I guess no one is topping that story. I could not believe it getting any better than that.
