Yes, absolutely.
Very sorry to hear about the hole in your finger.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery with no loss of dexterity.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

ceri... you should just give in and claim it already, we all know you were simply bored and had no legitimate excuse for this thread

SBLS I feel ya man, Finger wounds seem to last forever :?
not long ago I sliced open my finger with a Box cutter blade the day before my hot rod arrived  I think there are still photos of that on here :?
also a few years ago I stuck a #2 screwdriver through the fatty part of my fretting hand between my finger and thumb...... that was much worse and took AGES to heal, so it could have been worse

OH a little tip......... alcohol helps you keep playing

I didn't start this thread either, so goodnight Fender Princes & Princesses. The mood glows like a 6L6 under full power.

an early night for me. Many thanks to my Forum Bros and Sisters for your well wishes and encouragement worked guitar mojo and the first finger is improving.
Ceri, how it happened is an old guy up on a ladder with a power drill strapping pipe for an electrical job with more than the usual amount of obstructions, key words old guy. It was an easy task Ceri, I will be more careful in the future. :D

Night all!

Solidbody did you learn NOTHING from my post about old guys and ladders?? absolutely nothing good happens when the two combine! I have officially declared a no ladder rule here at my house..after being married to the old dude for 31 years I can honestly say I will beat him to smithereens if he goes on a ladder again! Im trying to fathom what would have happened here if a ladder and POWER TOOLS were in the equation..ugh..On a side note at the same time when we were at the ER another not young guy was laying in the other room with a broken leg also from a ladder fall..I have come to the conclusion after reading how your injury happened there is some strange ladder curse going around..BEWARE THE LADDER!

Good point about the posting times. Would be nice to see the times
in each of our own time zones, but really not needed.

I've drilled through a finger nail several times to relieve blood pressure when I smash a finger. I heat the drill bit first just to keep it sanitary. My daughter thought I was nuts last time I did it.
I've never drilled from the other side. That would hurt. Good luck and quick healing.
